Woman in custody after deaths of two boys in regional NSW | New South Wales

A girl has been positioned in custody over the dying of two younger boys in regional New South Wales.

Simply after 2pm on Monday, police attended a house in Coonabarabran within the state’s north-west following the experiences about issues for the kids’s welfare.

On coming into the home, they discovered two boys – aged six and 7 – who have been each lifeless.

A 66-year-old lady, who police stated was identified to the kids, was arrested on the property.

The lady was taken to Coonabarabran police station after which to hospital for additional evaluation, the place she remained on Monday night below guard.

Police stated there was no ongoing risk to the neighborhood they usually weren’t in search of anybody else in relation to the incident.

The NSW premier, Chris Minns, thanked the native officers who attended the scene for his or her “professionalism and bravado within the face of such a horrible occasion”.

“What has occurred is horrible and as a state we share in the neighborhood of Coonabarabran’s grief on the lack of two younger boys who had their whole futures forward of them,” he stated.

“I can’t start to think about the heartbreak their family members are at present feeling, together with their household, mates and lecturers.”

Police inquiries have been ongoing and against the law scene has been established.

Officers from the Orana Mid-Western police district have been being assisted by detectives from the state crime command’s murder squad.
